Meet the Director
Wendy MacLean Soderman has had over twenty years experience working with
people of all ages with disabilities. She first became interested in
working with people with disabilities at twelve years old when twin
friends developed a degenerative brain stem disease and were having
problems being accommodated in school. After working in a residential
facility for adults with disabilities at nineteen, she decided to become a
special education teacher. While working with children with a wide range
of disabilities from preschool to high school ages was very rewarding,
Wendy found the minimal amount of inclusion frustrating. She developed
SUCCESS Inc., a program focused on including adults with disabilities in
the community, no matter what level of behavioral or self-care support
needed. She has been the director of SUCCESS Inc. since its development.
Her credentials include:
- Associate of Arts: Social Sciences
- Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Art
- Master of Science in Special Education
- Professional Clear Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential with a
supplementary authorization in Art
- Clear Specialists Credential- Severely Handicapped
- Transition Planning Certificate
- Certified Crisis Prevention Institute Instructor for Nonviolent Crisis
Prevention
- Candidate: Board Certified Behavior Analyst
